Solicitation Description:

The State of Texas, by and through THC, seeks competitive proposals to develop and deliver training based on the Collaborating with Texas Tribes Workbook . This project includes creating and conducting in-person workshops and a virtual training webinar or video. The training will provide practical, accessible instruction for museum professionals, archeologists, Tribal partners, and other cultural resource stakeholders on implementing the workbook's principles.

The goal is to equip users with the knowledge and skills to effectively apply the workbook in their daily work and decision-making processes. The training must provide attendees with practical knowledge on incorporating Indigenous perspectives into exhibit development and artifact care. Additionally, the training should provide tools to implement the workbook's guidance on handling and caring for artifacts during excavation, temporary custody, curation, and exhibition.

To be eligible for the Contract award, the vendor must have at least three to five (3-5) years of experience similar to the type of work required by this RFP (as judged by THC). Similar work includes creating resources that center Indigenous voice, working with museum practitioners and archaeologists on caring for Indigenous artifacts in collections,developing/facilitating Tribal Advisory groups, and developing and presenting workshop content for museums and archaeologists.

The solicitation includes a submittal of the company's experience and qualifications for comparable projects and their pricing. Respondents will be evaluated as described in Section 3.13 Scoring Criteria. This solicitation has been identified as one that does not require a HUBSubcontracting Plan (HSP).

All questions will be answered as an addendum posted on the Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD), available at https://www.txsmartbuy.gov/esbd .  All Respondents must have internet access.

If any Respondent finds discrepancies among the RFP documents, or should a Respondent doubt their exact meaning, please notify THC immediately. Please submit all inquiries in writing by the date listed in the 3.1 Schedule of Events section. Verbal inquiries and responses will not be valid or binding.
