Summary

On May 16, 2025, a devastating and deadly mile-wide EF-3 tornado produced extensive damage in the City of St. Louis, affecting over 10,000 homes and businesses across ten square miles, including several historic and low-income neighborhoods. As many as 50,000 people have been impacted by this disaster and are now faced with an unprecedented need for assistance with property repairs, demolitions, debris removal, housing and relocation assistance, and other supportive services. The City of St. Louis is working to address these needs, particularly for the un- and under-insured, with a wide range of rapidly developing assistance programs.

The City of St. Louis Board of Public Service (“BPS”) seeks proposals for Disaster Debris Removal Services to support the management, removal, and lawful disposal of construction and demolition debris (C&D) resulting from a recent tornado event. This effort focuses on restoring the impacted neighborhoods within the City of St. Louis.
