Request for Proposals for Consultant Services Project Management for Portable Water Metering System Improvements, CIP Project No. 2019-18

Public Works is upgrading its existing potable water distribution system with new water meter infrastructure that will include new water meters and registers, new City-wide Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), new water meter lids, and a new web-based portal for customers to monitor water use and consumption. The City's water distribution system includes approximately 10,300 water meters. Three quarters of the water meter inventory includes residential meters (5/7"x3/4") with approximately 65% of these meters being over 20 years old. Public Works currently uses Itron drive-by reading system technology to obtain water meter readings. Public Works is seeking professional consultant services to manage this project.
