Request for Proposals for Bismarck Event Center Amenity Development

The City is seeking to work with a Developer and its team of consultants, secondary developers, investors, contractors, and other support services in the development of a transformative project that will enhance the existing features of the Bismarck Event Center and enable the community to continue attracting musical events, conventions & conferences, stage performances, sporting activities, comedians, and family-friendly entertainment for decades. The primary purpose of this process is to identify and select a qualified development team that possesses the vision, knowledge, experience, and ability to successfully deliver the best project to enhance the Bismarck Event Center and maintain its position as the premier facility in the region to host a variety of events, talent, vendors, and guests well into the future. Through thoughtful planning and creative approaches to assessing the best composition of complementary offerings to round-out the Bismarck Event Center, the successful development proposal will uphold the City’s values and vision while recognizing the gaps and missing opportunities necessary to solidify the Bismarck Event Center as the go-to facility in the region. The City is primarily interested in high-quality design, safe, effective, and efficient development and construction methods, and is willing to entertain a variety of development proposals including partnerships or sale of the development parcel to the successful Developer.
