Request for Proposals for Automated Closed Captioning for Live Broadcast of Meetings and Events

The City of Davis, California (“City”) is soliciting proposals to provide automated closed captioning services for live public meetings and events televised over the City’s cable television channel and internet streaming system.

Background Information

The City of Davis wishes to procure the equipment and related services necessary to provide live automated (computer generated) captioning services for public meetings and events televised from the City’s Community Chambers meeting facility. The City’s preference is for a locally hosted solution. The proposed equipment will need to integrate into the City’s existing video production system, which utilizes the SDI video standard (1080i 60Hz with embedded audio, separate analog audio is available). Equipment installation will be completed by City staff.
