Description:

Project: Hudson River Park seeks an experienced event manager to direct and cast Broadway by the Boardwalk, a multi-week musical performance showcase featuring Broadway performers.
Project Site: Hudson River Park’s Clinton Cove at West 55th Street.
Type of Services: Event direction including developing a concept, theme and staging and talent acquisition and management. (together, the “Services”).
Term: One (1) year with four (4) optional one-year renewals.

The Hudson River Park Trust is a public benefit corporation and a 501(c)(3) charitable organization created by act of the New York State Legislature. The mission of the Trust is to design, construct, maintain and operate a heavily used four-mile-long waterfront park and estuarine sanctuary on Manhattan’s West Side. Throughout the year, Hudson River Park Trust provides free and low-cost recreational, educational, and cultural programming opportunities for the public. Over one hundred thousand people attended Park events in 2024, including workouts, dances, music performances and more.

About Broadway by the Boardwalk
Hudson River Park’s Broadway by the Boardwalk (“Event” or “Events”) is a series of free music performances open to the public that feature Broadway talent performing original music, songs they enjoy and Broadway standards. These intimate events provide a setting where Broadway fans can get up close to their favorite stars and enjoy their talents in a lush park setting at sunset overlooking the Hudson River.

Wednesday, December 18, 2024 Answers Posted: Date that answers to questions will be posted on the Trust website at https://hudsonriverpark.org/about-us/bids-businessopportunities

Monday, January 6, 2025 Submission Deadline: 5:00 PM, by email, to broadway@hrpt.ny.gov

Proposal MUST be a separate attachment from the Fee Schedule.

Evaluation and Selection:
1. Evaluation Criteria - Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
35% - Quality of Proposal - Comprehensive and thoughtful proposal demonstrating a thorough understanding of required services.
25% - Fee Schedule - Demonstrates best value to the Trust as a government and charitable
organization.
25% - Experience - Previous experience in Direction and Talent Acquisition for live events in outdoor environments. Please highlight any past experience working with the Trust, or any New York City or New York State agency.
15% - References and Reputation - Past and/or current client relationships, notable similar projects and experience of key staff providing the services.

For purposes of this Contract, the Trust conducted a comprehensive search and determined that the Contract does not offer sufficient opportunities to set specific goals for participation by MWBEs or SDVOBs as subcontractors, service providers, and suppliers to the Contractor. Nevertheless, the Contractor is encouraged to make good faith efforts to promote and assist in the participation of MWBEs and SDVOBs on the Contract for the provision of services and materials. Additionally, Contractor is encouraged to contact the Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development at (212) 803-2414 to discuss additional methods of maximizing participation by MWBEs on the Contract. The Contractor is also encouraged to contact the Office of General Services’ Division of Service-Disabled Veteran’s Business Development at 518-474-2015 or VeteransDevelopment@ogs.ny.gov to discuss methods of maximizing participation by SDVOBs on the Contract.
