2026-02 Request for Proposals - Emergency Water Repairs - DUE: NOV 2, 2026

VENTURA RIVER WATER DISTRICT
NOTICE INVITING PROPOSALS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the VENTURA RIVER WATER DISTRICT ("District") will receive proposals
for Emergency Water Service Repairs from qualified proposers no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday,
November 2, 2026. All proposals must conform to the terms of the District's Request for Proposals ("RFP").
Late proposals will not be accepted.
The selected contractors shall provide emergency, on-call water distribution system repairs on an as-
needed, time-and-materials basis. The work may include repair of ruptured or leaking water mains and
service lines, valve replacement, hydrant installation or repair, and related pavement, sidewalk, curb, and
gutter restoration. Contractors must be responsive and readily available, make every effort to begin repairs
within four hours of notification, and be prepared to perform emergency work at any time, any day of the
week. The District intends to enter into agreements with up to three qualified contractors for a three-year
term, with the option of two additional one-year extensions. A complete Scope of Work is outlined in the RFP
document.

No site walk will be offered or required.

submit questions no later than October 21, 2026. Responses will be provided to all proposers through
written addenda or other written notice issued by the District.
Prospective proposers who download the RFP documents from the above link should email the District at
alma@vrwd.ca.gov to be placed on the proposer list and receive addenda. Each proposer is responsible for
confirming that it has received all addenda issued by the District.
Proposals must be submitted electronically in PDF format to alma@vrwd.ca.gov with the email subject line
"Proposal - Emergency Water Service Repairs" no later than 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Monday,
November 2, 2026.
The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to discontinue the selection process when
the District determines that doing so is in its best interest.
