REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

RETAIL RECRUITMENT FIRM

CITY OF PORTLAND, TENNESSEE

Purpose

The City of Portland has issued this request for proposals from interested parties for a professional retail recruitment firm. The goal is to engage a provider with proven expertise in retail recruitment to enhance the City's retail offerings, attract targeted businesses, and foster economic growth.

Scope

A retail recruitment firm provider would offer a market analysis and development services as a strategic approach to engage with retail businesses and developers for the City of Portland. In addition, they will provide connections for prospects and assist in developing a marketing plan for Portland .

General Requirements

The selected provider will be responsible for delivering the following services:

  1. Market Analysis
  2. Retail Recruitment Strategy
  3. Marketing Materials:
  4. Reporting and Metrics

General Information

The City of Portland is a vibrant community with a population of approximately 14,000. Located in the Nashville region, the city serves as a commercial hub for a trade area population of over 50,000. With the growth of the city, proximity to Nashville and construction of the new bypass to begin 2025, the city offers significant opportunities for retail development. The city seeks to leverage these advantages by attracting high-quality retail businesses to better serve residents and visitors.

Proposal Format

Interested firms must include the following information in their proposal:

  1. Company Profile:
  2. Experience and References:
  3. Approach and Methodology:
  4. Cost Proposal:
  5. Any Additional information or services that differentiate the firm from competitors.

Proposal Submittal

Each proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside “Proposal for Retail Recruitment Services” and delivered to Sherri Ferguson, City of Portland, 100 S. Russell, Portland, TN 37148 by January 23 at 10 AM.

All proposals will be reviewed and submitted to the Mayor and Aldermen with recommendation for awarding of the contract.

Reservation of Right

The Mayor and Aldermen reserve the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities or informalities, and to accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Portland.
