The city of Winston-Salem is seeing a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, insurance and supervision and abide by all local, state and federal codes applicable to haul alum residuals from the R.A. Thomas Water Treatment Plants to the WSFU Utilities Hanes Mill Road Landfill located at 325 W. Hanes Mill Road, Winston-Salem NC 27105

Special Requirements:

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held February 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM at R.A. Thomas Water Treatment Plant, 1201 S Martin Luther King Jr Dr., Winston-Salem, NC. The purpose of this conference is to explain the scope of work involved for this project and to give prospective bidders the opportunity to observe the existing conditions for the work. The Project Coordinator will be present to answer questions.

The City will not consider bids from bidders who do not attend this pre-bid conference.

The City of Winston-Salem is seeking proposals for the scope of work herein described. Pursuant to bidding

policy, sealed proposals endorsed “Residuals Removal at Thomas WTP – RFP26145” will be received

until the time listed above by the City/County Purchasing Department in Suite 324, City Hall Building, 101

North Main Street, Winston-Salem, NC. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
