REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL : Request for Proposals - Westchester County Agricultural Inventory

The Westchester County Soil and Water Conservation District (the “District”) is inviting proposals to inventory and assess existing agricultural and potential agricultural land within Westchester County. The District is interested in supporting agricultural operations within Westchester County, and the inventory and assessment subject to this RFP will provide an entry point to do so.
The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Agricultural Environmental Management Program 2025-2029 contract will provide an opportunity for the District to participate in agricultural programming. To support its future work in this area, the District will first conduct an inventory of all known agricultural operations and potential agricultural land within the county. The effort seeks to not only assist the District in its planning, but allow partners like the Westchester County Agricultural Farmland Protection Board, non-profits, and collaborators to better understand where operations are located to better support their needs.
