Request for Proposal Planning and Environmental Review Engineering Services Village of Lemont Rail Safety Improvement Project

Village of Lemont

The Village of Lemont is accepting Proposals for IDOT Pre-Qualified engineering firms to provide project planning and environmental review engineering services.  Professional services will focus on feasibility study and subsequent preliminary engineering activities for the new Walker Road Extension that will study alternatives to cross over or meet at grade the Heritage High-Speed Corridor, and removal of the McGuire Parkway and Boyer Street private at-grade crossings.  This project is partially funded through a Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) Program grant for the “Village of Lemont Rail Safety Improvement Project.  This is a non-Major Project as that term is defined in FRA Guidance on Development and Implementation of Railroad Capital Projects, January 11, 2023 (Railroad Capital Projects Guidance).

Interested firms may contact the Village of Lemont Public Works office at 630-257-2532 for a copy of the Request for Proposal, which contains a detailed description of the project, Conflict of Interest form, and specific requirements for the format and content of the submittal.

Sealed Proposals for this project must be received before 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Village of Lemont Public Works Office, 16680 New Avenue, Lemont, IL 60439. All submittals must include a Conflict-of-Interest Form.

Qualifications will be evaluated, and the top three qualified firms will be ranked for the purpose of negotiating a contract. In person or virtual interviews may be conducted once all proposals are evaluated.
