Request for Proposal for Demand Electrical Consulting Services for Building Electrical Systems

This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation by SaskTel to prospective Suppliers to submit proposals for the provision of On-Demand Electrical Engineering Design Consulting Services, specific to Building Electrical Systems (Buildings), as further described below (the "Deliverables").

SaskTel maintains a small multidisciplinary group of Building Designers in Regina who may be required to consult with an external Electrical Engineer for the provision of electrical design consulting services in support of SaskTel projects that vary in size and complexity. Such projects could include construction projects, tenant renovations and/or improvements, capacity enhancements, control and monitoring, new buildings, and other multi-disciplinary commercial construction.

The Supplier will be responsible to apply in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering consulting services to designs in commercial and light industrial facilities. Proficiency will be required in buildings electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, network & communication systems, emergency power & controls, site security, and grounding systems. Competence will be required in all relevant codes related to electrical systems.

The Supplier will be asked to lead or contribute to project teams consisting of SaskTel team members and other external consultants. Requirements for involvement in project management, contract administration and construction support relating to designs will be at SaskTel’s discretion. Designs will be completed in the latest version of AutoCAD or Revit, as directed by SaskTel.
