The City of Commerce, hereinafter referred to as the “City”, is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide consultant services for an agency-wide Ergonomic Study for all office workstations the City of Commerce.
Qualified firms, hereafter referred to as “consultant”, which meet the requirements set forth in this Request for Proposal are encouraged to participate.
1.2 General Information about the City
The City of Commerce is a full-service, general law city, governed by a Council - City Administrator form of government. Incorporated in June 1960, City of Commerce has a population of about 14,800 residents. Encompassing approximately 6.6 square miles and only 6 miles south east from downtown Los Angeles, the City of Commerce is also reasonably accessible from both the I-5 and I-710 freeways. The City employs approximately 460 employees in all, and has a General Fund budget of approximately 50.3 million. More information about the City can be found on the City’s website at:
The Consultant’s principal contact with the City will be the Director of Human Resources, who will coordinate assistance to be provided by the City to the Consultant. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to invite qualified professional firms to assist the City in conducting an agency-wide ergonomic study of all relevant city workstations.
2.2 Proposed Submission
Each proposal shall be delivered via US Mail, in person, or express courier to the attention of the Director of Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources shall receive quotes no later than May 27, 2016 by 5:00 p.m. May 31, 2016 by 5:00 P.M. Each quote shall include a letter of transmittal, signed by an authorized representative of the consultant. This letter of transmittal must state the names of the individual(s) authorized to negotiate with the City and sign contracts on behalf of the vendor.
