Request for Information – TV Services

This is a Request for Information. The State of Minnesota’s Department of Corrections (DOC) requests information regarding TV Services. The State of Minnesota invites all interested parties to submit a written response to this Request for Information (RFI). The State may invite responders to this RFI to participate in an interview or demonstration of their services to gather further information.

This RFI is being released strictly for the purpose of gaining information about TV Services for Minnesota Correctional Facilities, with an interest in cost structure, safety concerns, and changing technology, for use in a possible future Request for Proposal. It should not be construed as an intent, commitment, or promise to acquire services, supplies, or solutions offered. No contract will result from any response to this RFI.

Information submitted in response to this RFI will become property of the State of Minnesota. The State of Minnesota will not pay for any information herein requested, nor is it liable for any cost incurred by the vendor in preparing a response to this RFI.

1. Which geographic regions within Minnesota can your company provide services?
2. What is your service delivery method? Examples may include satellite, cable, Television Over Internet Protocol, or some other method.
3. Would your company be able to provide a uniform set of TV services across Minnesota DOC facilities? Please provide details (at minimum high-level) about the options you can provide below.
4. Does your company sell or lease (or both) the equipment necessary to provide television services?
5. Would your company be able to provide maintenance/repair of TV services equipment as part of a contract?
6. What information would your company need to provide accurate installation and service quotes?
7. Are there any foreseeable limitations, related to the above questions or otherwise, related to your ability to provide services across Minnesota DOC facilities? If so, please list them here.
8. Is your company interested in meeting with the State to discuss the responses above and other topics related to providing TV services to Minnesota DOC facilities?
