Overview
Summary

The County of Orange (County) is seeking information pursuant to this Request for Information (RFI) from your organization to support in the development of the County's Request for Proposal for Justice Involved (JI) Individuals Post-Release Outpatient Medications Services.

Background

Justice Involved (JI) Individuals Post-Release Outpatient Medications Services are essential for the implementation of California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM), aimed at creating a more coordinated, person-centered, and equitable health system that works for all Californians. Through the CalAIM initiative, Medi-Cal members have access to new and improved services to receive well-rounded care that goes beyond the doctor’s office or hospital and addresses all physical and mental health needs. The CalAIM Justice-Involved Initiative allows eligible Californians who are incarcerated to enroll in Medi-Cal and receive a targeted set of services in the 90 days before their release. This initiative aims to ensure continuity of health care coverage and services between the time they are incarcerated and when they are released. It also provides people who are reentering the community with the prescribed medications they need, and access to programs and services to support this important transition.
