Request for Information- E-Commerce Portal for Procurement Power & Hand Tools and Safety Equipment
Synopsis:

The purpose of this RFI is to enable SaskPower to strategically evaluate innovative e-commerce or online portal solutions for both power/hand tool and general safety equipment procurement, aiming to strengthen the MRO tool and safety equipment programs, enhance supplier collaboration, and drive operational efficiency as described in Appendix A – Information Requested (“Information”).

SaskPower has issued this RFI to obtain information only. SaskPower is under no obligation to review any submission or to discuss the Information submitted or negotiate any purchase contract based on the Information submitted with anyone.

No contractual relationship will arise between SaskPower and a proponent upon the proponent’s submission of any Information.

The scope of SaskPower’s MRO Tool Program and the Safety Equipment Programs is to manage the procurement of assets for power/hand tools and safety equipment across multiple locations in Saskatchewan as an on-need basis through an e-commerce platform or online portal. These programs aim to generally establish a single source of procurement for each program that is user-friendly, offers competitive pricing with options for price matching, accelerates lead times, the ability to maintain detailed purchase history reporting, and streamline internal approval processes.

The intent of this RFI is to gather feedback from suppliers in order to better evaluate supply chain capabilities and identify opportunities that support SaskPower’s operational requirements for the utilization of an online portal or e-commerce system provided by suppliers.
