Description
REQUEST FOR FORMAL WRITTEN PROPOSALS FOR PURCHASE OF BOULEVARD TREES
The City of Saint Peter, Department of Public Works, is requesting formal written proposals to furnish and deliver approximately 300 trees; the final quantity is to be determined by the City based on funds available. Proposals should match, as closely as possible, the listed specifications below, regarding genus, species, quantities, and size. However, substitutions and variations will be given consideration at the sole discretion of the City for acceptance (No Maples/Lindens/Locust). The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive defects in the proposal, and to accept the proposal that is in the best interest of the City.
- Ideal tree size will be between #15 or #20 container (1.25” – 2” Caliper)
- Deliver to 1312 West Broadway Avenue, Saint Peter, MN 56082 (call ahead to be unloaded 507-934-0670)
- All applicable taxes, fees, delivery charges or other charges shall be included in the unit price per Department of Natural Resources Grant guidelines. If, for whatever reason, this request is not possible, then the applicable taxes, fees, delivery charges, or other charges shall be listed as a lump sum as an addendum to the tree costs, giving the ability to reasonably determine an overall grand total cost.
- Either print and fill out this form completely – OR – provide a signed and dated formal written proposal on your company letterhead.
- It is strongly preferred that all trees be covered with a 1-year warranty.
- All trees are to be invoiced and delivered between April 20, and May 4, 2026 (No Friday Deliveries).
