REQUEST FOR FORMAL WRITTEN PROPOSALS FOR PURCHASE OF 2026 CHEMICALS FOR THE SAINT PETER WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY

The City of Saint Peter, Department of Public Works, Wastewater Utility is requesting formal written proposals for guaranteed pricing for the purchase of the following chemicals to be purchased and delivered in 2026.

Proposals should include:

  1. Ferric Chloride 38% (full tanker loads 4,450 gallons) Price per pound.  (2026 estimated usage is 350,000 pounds.)
  1. Sulfuric Acid (93%) Price per pound which includes pumping into tank. (2026 estimated usage is 22,000 pounds.)
  1. Polymer – 2,300 lb. tote (Primary Treatment Polymer) - price per pound. (2026 estimated usage is 13,800 pounds.)
  1. Polymer – 2,300 lb. tote (Biosolid Dewatering Polymer) - price per pound. (2026 estimated usage is 16,100 pounds.)

Price to include:

  • Cost per pound/gallon or tote.
  • Cost for freight.
  • Fuel charges or other costs not identified.

When pricing, please be informed the city will make every attempt to provide adequate advance notice when scheduling deliveries. Delivery hours for chemicals are Monday - Thursday (7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.).
