REQUEST FOR FORMAL WRITTEN PROPOSALS FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT MAKE UP AIR (MAU) UNIT

The City of Saint Peter, Department of Public Works – Wastewater Utility is requesting formal written proposals for the following materials and labor.

Summary

Proposal includes the following items:

• Demolition of existing MAU #7; existing unit will need to be cut up in the mechanical room to allow removal through a single 54” door.

*Includes demolition of outside air/supply/return ducts as required.

• Provide one (1) Greasemaster or approved equivalent make up air unit with 10,000 CFM at .5” ESP with VFD for 2 speed operation – minimum CFM of 6,000; 1,110,277 input BTU, 1,021,455 output BTU direct fired heater.  7.5 HP 460V 3 phase, 10.1 FLA, ODP premium (E-plus) efficiency Motor, VFD factory mounted and wired in unit control vestibule, V-bank filter section with 2” MERV 8 filters, 50–90-degree F space temp control, motorized back draft damper.

• Provide and install new outside air, supply air fittings with hard board insulation as required.

• Modification of gas piping as required – no paint on new piping.

• Startup and check out of unit.

Clarifications:

• Does not include the following: Temporary heating, cooling, ventilation or dehumidification, mechanical engineering, painting of gas piping, electrical/control wiring, or test & balance.

• Work to be completed between the hours of 6:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. Monday-Friday

• New MAU is 100 % outside air – no recirculation.

• Unit can be direct shipped to Wastewater Treatment Facility; Use of elevator will be available.

• Unit and all parts must fit through a 54” wide doorway.
