Sealed bids will be received by the City of Kennesaw, City Clerk's Office, 2529 J.O. Stephenson Avenue, Kennesaw, Georgia 30144, until 3:00 PM EDT on Friday, June 26, 2026, for the rehabilitation of the drainage pipes. Bids received after the deadline will not be considered. The project generally includes furnishing all labor, material, equipment for construction and related improvements for subject project. Work includes the rehabilitation of the pipe segments as shown on the attached exhibits. The repair method for this project can be a cured in place pipe lining or a spray in lining system. REQUEST FOR BIDS (RFB)
2026 PIPE REHABILITATION
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Kennesaw, City Clerk's Office, 2529 J.O. Stephenson
Avenue, Kennesaw, Georgia 30144, until 3:00 PM EDT on Friday, June 26, 2026, for the
rehabilitation of the drainage pipes as shown on the attached exhibits. Bids received after the
deadline will not be considered.
The project generally includes furnishing all labor, material, equipment for construction and
related improvements for subject project. Work includes the rehabilitation of the pipe segments
as shown on the attached exhibits. The repair method for this project can be a cured in place pipe
lining or a spray in lining system.
A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held at 1:00 PM EDT on Wednesday, June 17, 2026,
at Kennesaw City Hall, 2529 J.O. Stephenson Avenue, Kennesaw, Georgia 30144, to discuss the
project. Any questions should be emailed to the Deputy City Clerk, Nicholas Simpson at
nsimpson@kennesaw-ga.gov no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the mandatory
meeting.
Copies of the bid document may be attained by contacting the Deputy City Clerk at
nsimpson@kennesaw-ga.gov. Technical questions should be addressed to Amanda Stevens at
astevens@kennesaw-ga.gov no later than seventy-two (72) hours prior to bid opening.
No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or acceptable Bid Bond in an
amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid made payable to the City of Kennesaw.
The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a contract performance bond equal to one
hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a payment bond equal to one hundred ten
percent (110%) of the contract price, with the terms and surety to be approved by the City of
Kennesaw; and furnish satisfactory proof of carriage of the insurance required.
It is agreed the unit quantities shown in the specifications are approximate only and this bid is
based on a lump sum price. It is also understood the contract sum will only increase or decrease
by a change in the project scope and change order approved by the City. It is further understood
and agreed upon the unit prices provided in the Specification Section shall apply to any increase
or decrease in quantities caused by a change in project scope.
No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening
thereof.
The successful bidder will be notified by the City of acceptance of the bid. The successful
bidder must submit an executed CONTRACT and Certificate of Insurance before a Notice to
Commencement can be issued. Upon receipt of the Notice to Commence, the successful bidder
shall begin work with the adequate force and equipment within thirty (30) days.
A lump sum payment will be made to the contractor upon completion and certification by the
Public Works Project Manager that the work has been satisfactorily completed.
The City of Kennesaw reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and to re-
advertise. The City of Kennesaw also reserves the right to reject bids which are non-confirming
or to reopen the bidding if all bids are in excess of funds available for the Project.
