Request for Bid: Pool Painting & Crack Repairs

You are invited to bid on pool painting and coating and crack repairs for the City of Abilene, Kansas Parks and Recreation Department.

The City of Abilene, Kansas, will receive sealed bids until 4:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Office of the City Clerk, 419 N. Broadway, Abilene, Kansas 67410.

Bidders must specify the following.

• The surface must be prepared and free from all contaminants and loose paint from the previous coating to the extent possible without causing further damage. This will allow a fresh, clean surface to which the new coating can adhere.
• The pool will need to be cleaned and washed before installing the new coating/sealer
• Paint, reseal and repair cracks throughout the entire pool.
• Swim lanes and indicators need to be painted appropriately.
• All trash and debris from the job site must be cleaned up and hauled off.
• Provide warranty information related to the project, including labor warranty and coating/sealer warranty from the manufacturer and installer.
• Provide information and specs on the coating and sealers that will be applied.
• Estimated timeline for project.
• The project will need to be completed by May 1 ^st , 2026.
• In-person site visits are required for acceptable bids.

Parts and service availability will be considered in the evaluation of the bid.

The City of Abilene reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities under these specifications.
