| Project Title: | Replacement and Repair of Sports Lighting Fixtures |
| Description: | The lighting system at Truist Stadium is critical to providing a safe and functional environment for athletic events, practices, and community activities held at North Carolina A&T State University. Stadium lighting not only enhances player visibility and spectator experience but also ensures compliance with safety standards for evening and night events. A recent assessment identified twenty-six (26) sports lighting fixtures that are not fully operational. Of these, twelve (12) fixtures require complete replacement, while the remaining fourteen (14) can be repaired with new bulbs, capacitors, and ballasts. Without these repairs and replacements, the stadium is unable to maintain consistent illumination levels across the playing field, which impacts both performance quality and safety. The purpose of this project is to restore full stadium lighting functionality by replacing outdated fixtures with new GEO LED 1000W fixtures and repairing the remaining non-functional lights with high-quality components. This upgrade will improve energy efficiency, reduce long-term maintenance costs, and ensure that Truist Stadium remains a safe, reliable, and compliant venue for university athletics and events. |
