It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
Deliveries shall be F.O.B Destination.
Over view:
The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for removal and replacements of slip base light pole bases that were damaged in an accident. Concrete is broke and stud that pole mounts to are bent or broke. Will need a new bases with ground wires run to if from hand hole. Old bases will need to be removed as well. Base is for a 15" slip base light pole.
This is project is exempt from state sales tax.
Insurance listing the Iowa DOT as additional insured will be required prior to the project starting.
Until the contract is awarded the sole point of contact for this project is Julie Brown (see bid contract information) any and all questions related to this project are to be submitted to Julie Brown in writing preferably through the ION wave Bid system. (See the cut off period for question submissions).
Contract Award
One Purchase Order will be awarded for all items. All items are tied.
Invoicing must be itemized.
Invoices once the project is completed must include the breakdown of charges.
List how many individual and hours per individual and their hourly rate.
List off cost for mobilization.
List off equipment costs.
List cost for traffic control.
Itemized list of materials and their costs.

The resulting Contract will require the successful Contractor to maintain insurance coverage(s) of the type and in
the amounts set forth in the Standard Terms and Conditions or as otherwise specified.

material.

Reconnect existing conduit and circuit conductors to new base

This base is located at NB 380 @ MM 24.3. This is on right side of the road and is marked with a traffic cone.
Vendor must provide their Traffic Control Technicians Certificate listed under the 'Response Attachments' tab.
Work will be done off of shoulder. A road work ahead sign will be needed. Awarded vendor will work with the
field location in order to notify the TMC when repair work is being made.
