Replacement of 12-in Valves Vineville Ave-Vista Cir

INVITATION TO BID MACON WATER AUTHORITY MACON, GA Sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the installation of Replacement of 12-in Valves Vineville Ave-Vista Cir (the ¿Project¿) will be received by the Macon Water Authority (the ¿Owner¿), at the Macon Water Authority, 537 Hemlock Street, Human Resources Training Room, Macon, Georgia 31201 until 2:00 P. M., local time, September 23, 2025, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. All bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the same location at 10:00 A.M. on August 26, 2025. All bid questions must be submitted to the Owner by 10:00 A.M. on September 2, 2025. The Bidder should attend the pre-bid meeting in its entirety. The Project consists of replacing (2) Existing 12" Gate Valves and Install (1) New 12" Gate Valve on the 12¿ Cast Iron Public Water Mains at the intersection of Vineville Ave and Vista Circle. Work includes Mill and Pave Asphalt in work area and 50 L.F. past in both directions, traffic control, after hours work, and Thermoplastic Striping Replacement. This project is within State Route 19 therefore all work must follow GDOT Standards and Specifications. All work must be conducted between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM for night work (or between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM for day work, if necessary). MWA will provide the 12" gate valves, coordinate and execute the water main shut downs, and secure the GDOT Utilities permit in coordination with the contractor. Please note: it is MWA¿s understanding that there are old railroad tracks buried under the pavement of Vineville Ave in the vicinity of this project. Any effects of the buried railroad tracks on this project are unknown. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and technicalities.
