REPLACEMENT OF CEILINGS IN CHANCERY BUILDING

Replacement of plaster ceilings at U.S. Embassy, Madrid, Spain

Please note that this solicitation in not ready to be issued as of this date. No responses are rqeuested by this notice. The Government plans to issue the solicitation in February 2026. The Government will launch the solicitation in SAM.gov when it is available.

The solicitation covers The U.S. Embassy Madrid requires the complete demolition and replacement of deteriorated legacy ceiling systems throughout designated portions of the 1950s-era Chancery building. The contractor shall remove the plaster ceiling and wooden formwork, inspect and prepare the structural concrete slab, re-anchor all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and communication & TSS systems to the slab using approved anchoring systems and install drop ceiling system.

The anticipated performance period is 165 calendar days after the contractor receives the notice to proceed. The final performance period will be included in the solicitation.

The Government is planning a site visit to inspect the area where the works will take place, the date will be included in the solicitation.

The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed-price type contract.

In accordance with DOSAR 652.242-73 AUTHORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE (AUG 1999), all contractors must possess all permits and licenses required to do business in Spain. All offerors will be required to provide proof that they already possess said permits as part of their offer.

All contractors shall be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provisions 52.204-7. The guidelines for registration can be found at https://www.fsd.gov/gsafsd_sp
