DESCRIPTION: Contractor/Vendor will replace the fire suppression and alarm systems in selected buildings at Pinnacles National Park (PINN), located in Paicines, CA. The purpose of this project is to upgrade fire protection systems to meet current fire safety codes and standards, ensuring enhanced safety and compliance. The work will include the removal of outdated fire suppression and alarm systems, installation of new systems, and verification of functionality and compliance. The scope of work will encompass the following: (a) Removal and disposal of outdated fire suppression and alarm systems, (b) Installation of new fire sprinkler and fire alarm/detection systems, (c) Ensuring compliance with NFPA standards, National Park Service (NPS) Reference Manual 58 (RM-58), and other relevant codes, (d) Conducting hydrant flow testing and verification of water supply adequacy, and (e) Performing system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality. NOTE: This description only provides a brief summary of the project. Quoters shall refer to full details described in Attachment no. 3, Statement of Work.
SITE VISIT. An organized site visit is scheduled to occur on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 11am. Interested parties shall send an RSVP by email to Phaedra_Fuller@nps.gov and to Michael_R_Evans@nps.gov no later than 3pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Interested parties will meet with Mike Evans onsite at his office in the park¿s Maintenance yard on Chalone Road in Pinnacles National Park, CA. Site visit address is 5000 East Entrance Road off of Highway 25. NOTE: Be sure to get gas before leaving Kings City or Hollister if needed as there is no gas available near Pinnacles National Park. Once in the park, take the Chalone road to the Maintenance yard where Mike Evans will meet you.
