Sealed bids for SUCF Project No. 181005_REPLACE CHILLER – IVES HALL will be received by Cornell University at 121 Humphreys Service Building, 639 Dryden Road, Ithaca, New York 14853, until 2:00 PM on October 7, 2025, then opened publicly in Room 133 Humphreys Service Building and via Zoom at: https://cornell.zoom.us/j/96781313298?pwd=yebyIbdopUrRnXl3my3QZLbcfbOhrb.1&from=addon Bids must be accompanied by a bid security (bid bond or certified check) in the amount of 10% of total bid. Scope of Work: 1. This project will be a full replacement of the Chiller, along with the associated heat exchanger, the main building pump, and associated controls, located in the mechanical space of the northeast corner. The replacement of the old chiller shall be with a more efficient model with redundancy. The existing chiller serves cooling coils in air handling units AC-1 and AC-1A which serve Catherwood Library Archives which requires continuous reliable space conditioning. Refrigeration removal from the existing chiller will be done by Cornell.
