Repaving of High Street Parking Lot

Project Description: ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID
Sealed bids will be received online by the Borough of West Chester via PennBid until April 3, 2025 at 10:00 A.M., at which time they will be opened online and publicly posted via PennBid for:
BOROUGH OF WEST CHESTER
REPAVING OF HIGH STREET PARKING LOT
Bid Documents will be available on PennBid – https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com.
There will not be a Pre-Bid Meeting. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents via the “Messages/Vendor Discussions” feature in PennBid no later than seven (7) days prior to the date for receipt of bids.
The scope of work generally includes the following:
o Mobilization.
o Milling – depth 2.5" depth for 1,160 square yards.
o Tack Coat – 1,160 square yards.
o Paving - 180 tons of 19mm, PG 64S-22, 0.3 o Line Striping of Parking Spaces
There will not be a Pre-Bid Meeting. Any questions should be directed to Mr. Don Edwards, Public Works Director, at dedwards@west-chester.com.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check drawn to the order of the Borough of West Chester, or a Bid Bond in favor of the Borough of West Chester in the amount of 10% of the bid price. Said check or bond shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.
The Bidder’s attention is called to the fact that the State Prevailing Wage applies to this Contract and that the successful Bidder shall pay no less than the Prevailing Wage Rates determined for the project area as set forth in the Contract Documents.
No bid may be withdrawn within twenty-four (24) hours prior to the time of the bid opening or within sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening.
Award of Contract, if a Contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsive bidder. The Borough of West Chester reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities.
