Repairs at Town of Merrimack Central Fire Station and South Fire Station, due Friday, August 28, at 2 PM. A mandatory walkthrough will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Bidders shall meet at the Merrimack Central Fire Station, located at 432 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH 03054, and will then proceed to the Merrimack South Fire Station, located at 196 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.

REQUEST FOR BID
CENTRAL AND SOUTH FIRE STATIONS REPAIR
Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Merrimack until 2:00 pm on Friday August 28, 2026
for repairs to all affected areas by water damage at the Merrimack Fire Department Central Fire
Station and South Fire Station with the enclosed specifications and following scope of work.
Project 1. Central Fire Station
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and necessary equipment and tools to complete
the following repairs:
First Floor Bathrooms
Remove and replace damaged metal studs as required.
Repair and replace damaged drywall.
Prepare surfaces, apply primer, and paint all repaired areas.
First Floor Storage Closet
Perform the same work as described for the first-floor bathrooms, including:
o Metal stud replacement as required.
o Drywall repair and replacement.
o Primer and paint.
Replace one door.
Weight Room / Gym
Repair damaged drywall as required.
Perform any necessary wall repairs to restore the affected areas.
Prepare surfaces, apply primer, and paint all repaired areas.
Back Hallway
Repair damaged drywall and any other wall surfaces affected.
Prepare surfaces, apply primer, and paint all repaired areas.
Project 2. South Station
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and necessary equipment and tools to complete
the following repairs:
Rear Bedroom, Hallway, and Day Room
Repair damaged drywall.
Prepare surfaces, apply primer, and paint all repaired areas.
Time and effort spent for bid preparation is the responsibility of the bidder. The act of submitting
a bid is considered to be full acknowledgement that the bidder has inspected the sites and is familiar
with the conditions. A mandatory site walkthrough is scheduled for August 18, 2026, at 9:30
a.m. Bidders shall meet at the Merrimack Central Fire Station, located at 432 Daniel Webster
Highway, Merrimack, NH 03054. Following the meeting, bidders will proceed to the South Fire
Station, located at 196 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054, to inspect all project areas

The bid shall be submitted with the Bid Form by the date and time and shall exclude state and
deferral taxes not applicable to municipalities. The both bid prices shall be quoted F.O.B. Town
of Merrimack, Fire and Rescue Department, 432 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH 03054.
The successful bidder will be required to provide an insurance certificate confirming the following
insurance coverage: worker’s compensation insurance as required by the State of New Hampshire;
broad-form comprehensive general liability insurance in an amount no less than $1,000,000
combined single limit per occurrence; and motor vehicle insurance to include bodily injury,
property damage, uninsured motorist, and employer’s non-ownership coverage in an amount no
less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence. The Town of Merrimack shall be
named as an additional insured on all policies.
The successful bidder must also agree in writing to indemnify the Town of Merrimack from any
and all liability, loss or damage, including but not limited to bodily injury, illness, death, or
property damage, which the Town becomes legally obligated to pay as a result of claims, demands,
costs, or judgment against the Town arising out of the contractor’s actions or omissions relating to
this project.
The related award will be based on price, and Town’s evaluation of the quality of the proposed
units and bidder’s experience and reputation will include discussions with current users. Therefore,
bidders shall identify on the Reference Form three comparable projects that have been completed
over the last three years.
The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids, and to
accept the bid which best serves the interest of the Town.
Two copies of the bid shall be marked “Fire Stations Repair” and delivered to the Town of
Merrimack, Finance Department at located at 6 Baboosic Lake Rd, Merrimack, NH by the date
and time specified above.
It is the bidder’s responsibility to confirm the bid is received by the Finance Department by the
date and time specified.
