INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Town of Reading is accepting sealed Bids for "Rental of Street Sweeper Equipment plus Operator," Contract 26-08.

The contract is for the rental ofequipment plus operator.

Bid documents will be available after 10:00am on Monday August 25, 2025 at https://www.readingma.gov/Bids.aspx .

All bids shall be submitted to the Reading Town Clerk’s office prior to TuesdaySeptember 9, 2025 at 1:00pm at the address listed above. Complete instructions for filing bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders.

It is the responsibility of prospective proposers and or bidders to check https://www.readingma.gov/Bids.aspx for new information any addenda or modifications to any solicitation.

The first contract period will be from award until June 30, 2026. The 2 ^nd period if awarded will be from 7/1/26 until 6/30/27.  The third period if awarded will be from 7/1/27 to 6/30/28.  The option to renew for the 2 ^nd and 3 ^rd period is exercisable at the sole discretion of the Town of Reading.

The contract will be awarded under the provisions of MGL c30B to the responsive and responsible Bidder offering the lowest price for period 1.

Payment of prevailing wages as established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Commissioner of Labor and Industry is required for the work under this contract.

The Town of Reading reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, or to award or not to award the contract for any reason the Town Manager determines to be in the Town's and/or the public's best interest.
