Description

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), is inviting suppliers with experience in the delivery of construction services to submit a Response to qualify for the planned work for the Renovation of the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada Space at the High Commission of Canada to Tanzania, in Dar es Salaam (the “Requirement”). This Invitation to Qualify (ITQ) defines the requirements for the qualification of Respondents for the Requirement. Interested Respondents are required to respond to this ITQ. Based on these Responses, Canada intends to select, in accordance with the terms of this ITQ, the Qualified Respondents to participate in the Request for Proposals (RFP) stage of the solicitation.

The Requirement includes Renovation of the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada Space at the High Commission of Canada to Tanzania, in Dar es Salaam. The scope will include, but is not limited to, the following:

a. Complete mobilization and demobilization, staging and clean-up on-site;

b. Increase the staff capacity in work areas;

c. Update, replace, and add power devices in open area workstations, enclosed offices, business centers, and general areas as needed. Ensure all changes are connected to the existing electrical panels;

d. Relocate CCTV including pertinent raceway as required;

e. Modify existing communication raceway infrastructure as required to suit new layout;

f. Modify emergency and exit lighting;

g. Modify mechanical systems, as required to accommodate an increased number of personnel in the space;

h. Construction of a vestibule space;

i. Ensure any new ceiling texture is integrated to the existing ceiling;

j. Modify the fire alarm system, as required;

k. Remove and install all three security doors;

l. Repair, refinishing and paint the surrounding area of the three security doors.

A Respondents’ conference will be held virtually on January 7, 2024. The conference will begin at 15:00 EAT (Eastern Africa Time).
