The 502d Contracting Squadron, JBSA Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), TX, is issuing this Sources Sought as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having the resources to provide the following scope of work.
If interested and capable of fulfilling the requirements listed in the statement of need (SON) please complete the attached sources sought notice questionnaire and return to me no later than suspense date 30 June 2025 10:00 AM CST. If any questions please have the attached with your sources sought questionaire.
Description of Product: There exist two battery banks and a controller that need to be updated/replaced. Contractor shall work closely with the AFDTL IT Specialists and Facility Manager to accomplish these UPS system upgrades. In addition, the contractor shall propose an acceptable completion date for equipment installation. Note: Solutions and pricing shall be provided with contractor’s proposal. Solution shall, as a minimum, include:
❖ Installation of new UPS system to include batteries and controllers as well as removal and disposal of old UPS system. New UPS system to support:
• Batteries suitable to support sustained power draw of 7000 watts for 120 minutes
• Two (2) 30A 120/280V outlets supporting Power Distribution Units (PDUs) • Eight (8) 20A 100-120V outlets supporting PDUs
• Two (2) 30A 100/120/200/208V outlets supporting PDUs
• Suitable Controller • Interface with existing 100A interface to generators/main facility power
• Installation within existing standard 42U server rack (19”W x 36”D)
❖ Contractor shall be responsible for patching/covering (painting) holes in the walls/ceiling from the removal of any non-operational equipment or other damages cause in installation of new equipment. This shall include replacement of ceiling tiles (damaged during installation activities).
❖ The contractor shall coordinate with the Project Manager for dispose of any nonoperational equipment/material that are removed during initial system installation or Maintenance operations.
❖ Contractor shall provide a recommended Bill of Materials and pricing with their proposal.
All information provided is STRICTLY VOLUNTARY: The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to query the market for potential interested, capable, responsible, and qualified Contractors that can provide/perform the stated in the Statement of Work. The government is interested in collecting market data/information in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 335910, Battery Manufacturing. Anticipated Award is Firm Fixed Price (FFP).
NOTE: If you believe the above NAICS to be incorrect please suggest alternate NAICS for this acquisition.
