This project supports the development of the Relay Ground Station – South (RGS-S) at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. It includes construction of concrete pads, antenna foundations, equipment shelters, entrance control facilities, power systems (including backup generators), telecom infrastructure (OSP/ISP), fire protection systems, site security (fencing and lighting), and stormwater management. RGS-S will house critical Ground Terminal Equipment (GTE) and Communications & Networking Equipment (CNE) necessary for remote operation of legacy and next-generation Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) satellites. This station is essential to expand ground terminal capacity for continued and future satellite operations under the Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) and Next Gen programs.
