The City of Edgewater has issued this Invitation to Bid (hereinafter, “ITB”) with the sole purpose and intent of obtaining bids from qualified and licensed State of Florida Contractors to provide all permits, insurance manpower, material and supervision for the Rehabilitation of Sanitary Sewer Lines and Manholes (CDBG 23DB-N33)
The project as more fully described in the attached plans, which include lining approximately 7,880 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer along S Old County Road, Hart Avenue, Park Avenue, W Pine Bluff Street, W Palm Way, Otter Drive, Snyder Street, W Ocean Avenue, and W Connecticut Street. An alternate bid is included to address the lining of 33 manholes for a total of approximately 300 vertical feet and lining of approximately 360 LF of 6-inch sanitary sewer along S Old County Road. Appropriate maintenance of traffic shall be maintained, or appropriate detours shall be used to mitigate traffic congestion during construction. Bypassing shall be included to maintain sewer service to all residents. Installation of sewer lining and manhole lining shall maintain in-situ conditions. Any damage to pavement during lining shall be repaired to existing conditions or better.
Contractor shall furnish all shop drawings, working drawings, labor, materials, equipment, tools, services and incidentals necessary to complete all work. All work shall be done with a minimum of inconvenience to the users of the system or facility.
The city serves an area of 25.24 square miles with a population of approximately 24,981. The City’s fiscal year begins on October 1st and ends on September 30th. The Finance Department maintains the funds and accounts of the City. The Finance Department is responsible for the custody and accounting of funds of each department.
Under the State of Florida, FloridaCommerce Subgrant Agreement No. 23DB-N33, executed on April 2, 2024, the City of Edgewater was awarded Community Development Block Grant Neighborhood Revitalization (CDBG_NR) funds of $750,000.00 by FloridaCommerce for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewer lines consisting of 6-inch and 8-inch sanitary sewer lines and the lining of 33 manholes.
