NOTICE OF UTILITY APPLICATION

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on September 16, 2022, Juneau Hydropower, Inc. (JHI) filed an application for a new Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity. JHI proposes to provide new hydroelectrical generation service and high voltage transmission service initially to industrial mining customers in the City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska. Docket No.
"U-22-082 was opened to address this matter.

In conjunction with its application, JHI has filed a petition for confidential treatment of certain financial and contractual information filed in support of the application, along with diagrams containing critical energy infrastructure information protected by federal law. Interested persons may file a response to JHI’s petition for confidential treatment with the Commission by 5:00 p.m., October 13, 2022.

JHI also filed a petition for exemption from economic regulation under AS 42.05.711(d).

The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application or ruled on the petition for confidential treatment. The Commission will rule on the petition for confidential treatment and determine whether the application is complete by November 11, 2022.
