Region Wide Solar Field Installation

General Construction Contract: D006450
Installation of a ground-mounted photovoltaic array at the Sunken Meadow State Park at the asphalt drive area located adjacent to the boces outdoor learning lab. The array will be enclosed in a chain link fence for security and safety. The existing asphalt pavement will be removed and replaced at full depth and new asphalt pavement will be installed in multiple areas to provide access to the chain link fence gates as well as a cul-de-sac for vehicles.

Installation of a ground-mounted photovoltaic array at the Wildwood State Park at the north end of an approximate 26-acre undeveloped field located along Sound Avenue. The array will be enclosed in a chain link fence for security and safety. A gravel access road will be installed to access the array. Screening vegetation will be planted on the south side of the array and along sound avenue between the access road and the Hulse house west property line.

Estimated Range: $4,110,600.00 - $5,561,400.00

PUBLIC BUILDING LAW § 8(6)
Pursuant to Public Building Law § 8(6), any contracts over $5,000 for the work of construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any State building, a responsible and reliable NYS-certified Minority or Women-Owned Business Enterprise that submits a bid within ten percent of the lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder provided that the bid is $1,677,139 or less (maximum amount has been adjusted for inflation effective January 1, 2025). If more than one responsible and reliable MWBE firm meets the requirements, the MWBE firm with lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder.

There will be a pre-bid meeting on July 31, 2025 10:00AM
Will start at Sunken Meadow State Park and then will end up at Wildwood State Park (see below for instructions)

Prebid meeting for both sites will be conducted at Sunken Meadow BOCES facility located at Field 5 of Sunken Meadow State Park. Following the meeting in the facility, prospective bidders will then be shown the site at Sunken Meadow State Park and then travel to Wildwood State Park to visit the other site.

All Requests For Information (RFIs) are due by: 10:00 AM on August 7, 2025
RFIs received after this due date and time will not be processed.
