Regina Beach - 5th Avenue Paving

The Town of Regina Beach will be requesting Tenders for a Paving Project on one of our major roadways in the municipality, 5th Avenue.

TENDER FOR ASPHALT PAVING

The Town of Regina Beach invites you to submit a tender for a Paving Project of 10,230 square metres of municipal road. Town will be accepting tenders until Friday March 21, 2025. All tenders may be delivered mail, email, or courier.

Existing Conditions:

The Roadway for new Asphalt is approximately 10,230 square meters in total. The existing road consists of a reclaimed asphalt.

The total square meters of road is estimated, as the road width varies throughout the span of the project. Contractor will be required to verify all measurements after the job commences and compare with the measurements provided.

Locations of work

Street locally known as 5th Avenue (running east to west between 16th Avenue to Steep Street)

Contractor Scope of Work:

All existing base material (reclaim Asphalt) can be left in place, reworked as needed and used as a suitable base
Shape compacted base to a minimum of a 2% crown
Complete a proof roll in each location to be supervised and signed off by Regina Beach management
Apply a layer of SS1 at the recommended rate to the entire prepared surface
Supply and install layer of new hot mix asphalt at a thickness required under the tender (three quoted thicknesses are to be given) ensuring that the minimum 2 % crown is achieved
Complete 1 marshall analysis for every 500 tonnes of asphalt used and provide the town with results
Complete 1 nuclear density test for every 500 square meters of asphalt applied with a requirement of 97%
