Regina Beach Child Care Centre - Addition
Synopsis:

Design and Build addition to the current RTM Regina Beach Child Care Centre. Currently the Centre has 22 childcare spots. We are looking to add an additional 38 childcare spots with the addition. The building’s addition will be approximately 54 ft x 32.8 ft. (1771 sq. ft.).

Design:
• Design addition approximately 1771 sq ft in size.
- 35 regular spots requiring 39.83 sq ft for each spot and 3 infant spots requiring 64.58 sq ft for each spot.
- A 2-stall washroom of approx. 98 sq ft, and a furnace room of approx. 56 sq ft.
- See attachment – Section 56 of The Child Care Regulations, 2015
• Window space will need to be 10% of the floor space in the open room as well as the infant room refer to Required Natural Light as per Section 57 of The Child Care Regulations, 2015, see attachment.


Build:
• Relocate the shed and accessibility ramp on the property.
• Prepare the building site.
• Construction of wood frames for a single-story structure of approx. 1771 sq ft.
• Supply all materials, equipment, labor, supplies to complete the construction.
• Supply and install mechanical equipment.
• Supply and install electrical.
• The contractor will supply and install all door closers required for the addition.
• Supply and install fire alarm.
• Open the original building to the constructed addition.
• Dispose of materials from build and materials from lot, dispose at town landfill.
• The contractor will acquire all necessary locates and permits required for the building.
• Maintain barricades and fencing in work zone.
