NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS), Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 has a refurbishment/repair requirement and intends to issue a solicitation to the sole source vendor for repair of QTY 3 EA, Curtiss-Wright Model 13NL45+ (4500 psig) High Pressure Air Compressors (HPAC) NSN: 4Y 4310-LL-H88-0710 for the Trident Equipment Replacement (TRIPER) Program using FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation, contracting procedures. Statement of Work is SUBMEPP REFURBISHMENT INSTRUCTION NO. 5130-012-0729 REV E Chg - 3. DPAS Rating will be DX. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333912 - Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing and the size standard is 1,000 employees.

The RMC code is 3R (Sole Source). Repair, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part. This code is used when the Government did not initially purchase the data and/or rights. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.

The solicitation will be made available to interested parties through electronic means approximately 15 days from this posting. The solicitation number is N00104-25-R-F021. The solicitation will be posted after the synopsis period has ended. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
