Description

This is a Sources Sought Notice to determine the availability and technical capability of small and large businesses to meet the Government’s requirement for motor fan refurbishment. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement if a requirement materializes. Based on the responses to this Sources Sought Notice/Market Research efforts, the requirement may result in a single source acquisition, may be set-aside for small businesses (in full or in part), or may be procured through full and open competition. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and feedback or evaluations may or may not be provided to companies regarding submissions. Please see attachments for additional information.



This announcement does not constitute as a request for proposal. The Government is not under any obligation to award any related contract associated with this request. An active SAM and NIST SP 171-800 assessment with a score of 110 (or a plan to get it to 110) are required for solicitation, award, and payment. Provide an answer to all questions outlined below:




  1. Provide company Information: Name, address, telephone number point of contact names, an e-mail address.

  2. The Government intends on using NAICS 811310. Does your company have concerns about the selected NAICS?

  3. Indicate your company’s business size. State whether your firm is a large business, small business, small disadvantaged business (SDB), 8(a)-certified small business, historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) small business, veteran-owned small business (VOSB), service-disabled veteran- owned small business (SDVOSB), or woman-owned small business (WOSB).

  4. Provide Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code and provide SAM.gov Unique Entity ID (UEI).

  5. Provide any comments regarding Attachment 1 – NFAC Motor Fans SOW and its associated drawings.

  6. Contract vehicles that would be available to the Government for the procurement of the product, to include ENCORE II, General Service Administration (GSA), GSA MOBIS, NIH, NASA SEWP, Federal Supply Schedules (FSS), or any other Government Agency contract vehicle. (This information is for market research only and does not preclude your company from responding to this notice.)

  7. Interested businesses should submit a brief capability statement related to the requirement.

  8. To assist with budgetary estimates, please provide a total estimated price to meet this contemplated acquisition. Provide the estimate in use recommended line-item structure.

  9. Indicate the lead time to complete the service per motor fan.
