NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is prescribed by FAR 13.105(a).
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Procurement Office West (RPOW) Activations Branch III intends to issue a sole source award contract to Griffin Chapman Environmental Inc., TempArmour However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement demonstrating the ability to provide the requested services, which shall be considered by the agency before the intended award date. Please note, you MUST have an authorization from TempArmour stating that your company is an authorized distributor/reseller of their products. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested vendors must respond to this notice on or before March 12, 2025, at 08:00 a.m. PST by sending an email to erica.perry-johnson@va.gov.

Background: Â

The VA Antelope Valley CBOC System is seeking to procure 4 vaccaine refrigerators on a sole source basis from Griffin Chapman Environmental Inc. The requirement is in support of the activation of the new VA Lancaster Clinic/Antelope Valley CBOC. The vaccaine refrigerators will be used to store vaccines and other medical products at a stable temperature to ensure they do not degrade.

Scope:
The contractor shall provide these items required. The contractor must have an authorization letter/memo from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating they are an authorized distributor/reseller of their products.
