Refrigerator Rentals for Summer Food Service Program

The County of Volusia is soliciting bids to furnish rental refrigerators to support the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) at various locations countywide. The designated SFSP sites will be provided to the awarded vendor, and the County anticipates providing the final list of locations/sites by May each year. The County intends to award a Master Agreement (MA) to a single vendor for an initial term of three (3) years with the option for two (2) subsequent one-year renewals. The County reserves the right to issue multiple awards if it is determined to be in the best interest of the County. The awarded vendor will be responsible for all aspects of the delivery process, including transportation to each site, unpacking, placement in designated areas, and installation to ensure the refrigerators are fully operational. This equipment is critical to the success of the SFSP, and this resulting agreement aims to ensure all sites have adequate refrigeration to maintain food storage safety.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) provides nutritious meals at no cost to children eighteen (18) and under while school is out for the summer, approximately 10-week period, and operates at schools, nonprofit organizations and government entities, such as parks and libraries, etc.
