Records Management and Storage

Richland County Government is soliciting electronic bids from record storage providers to furnish off-site storage and related services for its 81 Departments and divisions. As of February 28, 2025, Richland County has approximately 63,880 ft ³ of records. Additional records are anticipated to be added to storage. The majority of the boxes currently stored are standard letter/legal file boxes (15” L x 12” W x 10” H), which are 1.2 cubic feet. Other boxes may include legal-size transfer boxes (24” L x 15” W x 10” H, 3.6 cubic feet), planner/blueprint boxes (4” x 4” x 42”), and large planner/blueprint boxes (8” x 8” x 42”). Also currently stored are several unboxed large bound volumes.
