The Boise National Forest is soliciting quotes for the rebuild of the engine of fleet vehicle EN8040,
2018 International 7400 SFA truck with Diesel engine, VIN. Engine serial number is
1HTWESTR6JH571614.
Work required is supplying parts and renew engine dressed. The truck produced malfunction
indicator light (MIL) and lost power while pushing excess fluid out the engine crankcase breather.
The vehicle is available for inspection and can be transferred/returned at the bidders expense.
The government has the vehicle stored at Boise Forest Warehouse 1918 Commerce Ave Boise, ID
83705. The vendor will be required to pick up and deliver to that location. The awarded business
will transport and accept the truck at the repair facility, inspect and order necessary parts for the
repair no later than five (5) business days after award of contract. The awarded contractor shall
complete vehicle repairs, test the vehicle and deliver to storage no later than thirty (30) calendar
days after contract award.
The rebuilt engine will meet manufacturer OEM specs and will carry a minimum 1-year full
warranty. The truck shall operate as manufacturer intended without malfunction indicator lights or
warnings. All OEM style connectors and fasteners and manufacturer recommended fluids shall be
used. A final road test shall be performed to verify all systems are operating as normal. Work will
be performed by certified journeyman technician (ASE cert or equivalent).
