Notice to Bidders
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Jefferson Township Purchasing Office until the 30th day of December 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at which time bids will be publicly opened and read in the Council Chambers at the Jefferson Township Municipal Building, 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, Morris County, New Jersey, for the following categories:
REBID SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS COLLECTION SERVICE
CONTRACT GAR-25-1
All Bids must be in compliance with N.J.A.C. 7:26H-6 et seq., Uniform Bid Specifications for Municipal Solid Waste Collection Contracts (including Appendix A) and Local Public Contracts Law (LPCL), N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. Bids must be accompanied by a cashier’s check, certified check, or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid (based on the highest total bid if alternate bids are involved) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 to guarantee the execution of the contract if awarded. The Township reserves the right to hold bids for sixty (60) days.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), Affirmative Action Regulations and P.L. 1977, Chapter 33 Stockholder’s Disclosure Regulations.
Any person whose name is on the New Jersey Workplace Accountability in Labor List, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:1A-1.16 shall be prohibited from bidding on this contract. The Township reserves the right to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2 and N.J.S.A. 34:1A-1.16.
Specifications can be obtained between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weekdays only by contacting the Purchasing Department at the Municipal Building, 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey 07849. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Specifications and Proposal by the PURCHASING DEPARTMENT at the cost of $2.75, non-refundable; plus, the actual postage charge if mailed via USPS. Bidder may provide their FedEx account number if FedEx is preferred. Or you may email CFett@jeffersontownship.net and request the bid package to be emailed at no cost. Please include company name, address, telephone number, fax number and person’s name to contact in the body of the email.
Bids must be delivered enclosed, sealed, and marked on the outside of the envelope as to the bids’ designation by bid # or type of equipment or service, vendor’s name and address and be addressed to the Business Administrator, Municipal Building, 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, 07849, on or before the day and hour above.
The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals, in whole or in part, in accordance with applicable law, or the Township of Jefferson shall award to the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with applicable law.
