REBID of Mount Eaton Road - Culvert Replacement Project

Project Description: Ross Township, Monroe County will receive sealed bids via PennBid for the REBID-Mount Eaton Road - Culvert Replacement project. The proposed work involves the installation of an Aluminum Box Culvert (including aluminum end walls, aluminum invert plates, and aluminum toe walls) along with the restoration of the stream channel adjacent to the proposed culvert. Ross Township will purchase and assemble (on site) the Aluminum Box Culvert (including aluminum end walls, aluminum invert plates, and aluminum toe walls) via Costars prior to the start of construction. All site construction, installation, and restoration work associated with this project will be included within this bid package. This work shall include: all excavation work, aluminum box culvert installation work, stream bed restoration work, all paved roadway restoration work, shoulder restoration, installation of guide rails, all necessary erosion and sediment controls, and related work in accordance with the Contract Documents and Specifications. It is anticipated that work will commence on or around June 16, 2025 and all work within the stream and associated with this grant project must be completed by August 15, 2025. All remaining site improvements must be completed by September 30, 2025. It should also be noted that no work can be performed in the stream from October 1st to December 31st per the General Permit Conditions.
Bids will be received online via PennBid until 2:00 p.m. (prevailing time) on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Bids results will be made available on PennBid after bid opening.

Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to “Ross Township” in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the total Bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. The successful bidder must furnish Performance, Payment Bonds and Insurance per Contract and must meet the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of General Conditions. This project is subject to minimum wage rates in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the Public Works Employee Verification Act. Ross Township reserves the right to waive any informality in, and/or to reject, any or all bids. No bid will be accepted if obtained from sources other than the issuing office noted above.
