Contractors are invited to bid on the REBID Northern State Correctional Facility (NSCF) Fire Pump
Replacement Project for Buildings and General Services at 2559 Glen Road in Newport, Vermont.
This project consists of, but is not limited to:
Scope of work includes the replacement and modification of the existing fire pump system and
associated fire protection, electrical, and alarm components as indicated in the construction
drawings and technical specifications, including but not limited to:
1. Replacement of the existing electric-driven fire pump with a new unit per drawing and
specification.
2. Installation of a new jockey pump and associated components.
3. Demolition and modification of existing piping and equipment as required.
4. Reconfiguration of fire protection piping, valves, flow meter, and sensing lines.
5. Electrical and fire alarm modifications and reconnections.
6. Testing, commissioning, and startup of the fire pump system.
7. Preparation of submittals, closeout documentation, and training of Owner’s personnel.

http://www.blueprintsetc.com. There is a non-refundable fee, plus applicable taxes and shipping costs
for each set of documents purchased.
QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD: Any vendor requiring clarification of any section of
this RFP or wishing to comment or take exception to any requirements of the RFP must submit
specific questions in writing to BGS.OPCVendorDocs@vermont.gov no later than 4:30 PM on
October 7, 2026. All questions should include REBID Northern State Correctional Facility
(NSCF) Fire Pump Replacement Project in the subject line. Any comments, questions, or
exceptions not raised in writing on or before the last day of the question period are waived. At the
close of the question period a copy of all questions or comments and the State's responses will be
posted at http://www.blueprintsetc.com. Every effort will be made to post this information as
soon as possible after the question period ends, contingent on the number and complexity of the
questions.
