2026 RAW WATER VALVE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

Sealed bids for furnishing the following to the City of Cortez will be received at the Office of the General Services Director, City Service Center, 110 West Progress Circle, Cortez, Colorado 81321, until 3:00 P.M. MST, on Monday, January 5, 2026, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read.

SCOPE OF WORK: Provide labor and furnish all materials and equipment necessary to install a new raw water valve. The scope of work includes incorporation of a new raw water flow control valve and associated process piping and electrical in the micro hydro power building at the City of Cortez Water Treatment Plant. The project also includes demolition work and provision / installation of structural support members, grating, and pipe supports. The work is located at the Water Treatment Plant, 27999 County Rd N, Dolores, CO 81321.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING and project site visit will be held for all interested vendors on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the Water Treatment Plant.

Bids shall be submitted in writing and signed by the bidder or its duly authorized agent.  Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, and marked on the outside with “BID: 2026 Raw Water Valve Replacement Project, ” and with the bidder's name.

The City of Cortez reserves the right to waive any formality or any informality in the process of awarding a bid. The City reserves the right to accept any bid, in whole or in part, and to reject any or all bids if it be deemed in the best interest of the City to do so.
