The Army Contracting Command – Rock Island is issuing this sources sought notice to repair by replacement the deteriorated patio slab, stairs and railings of Quarters 1 (Building 301), on the Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Illinois.
Project Summary - This project consists of the reconstruction of the southwest patio of Quarters 1 (Building 301), U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) - Rock Island Arsenal (RIA). The scope includes the repair by replacement of the deteriorated patio slab, stairs, and railings. Water infiltration through the slab has corroded the metal deck beneath creating structural concerns and continual maintenance issues. A handicap accessible ramp will be added to allow building access for people with mobility challenges as required by Architectural Barriers Act (ABA). This project will increase the longevity and usability of this historically important structure.
The Contractor shall be required to commence work under this contract within 30 calendar days after the Contractor receives the Notice to Proceed, prosecute the work diligently, and complete the Scope of Work in 120 Working days.

This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in the response. The Government will not accept requests for meetings or briefings. No phone solicitations or email with regards to the status of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be accepted prior to the solicitation release.
