23-043QP Streetcar Switch Heaters Design Services (FTA) – Re-Advertised

The City of Seattle, through its Department of Transportation (SDOT), requests Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms to provide preliminary engineering through construction management for this project to reduce service interruptions to the First Hill Streetcar and the South Lake Union Streetcar during winter weather by retrofitting streetcar switches with heating elements and associated heater control cabinets.

This contract is estimated to be up to $450,000 with an anticipated time of performance between Q2 2024 to Q3 2025. This project is anticipated to be federally funded in part through the FTA. This project has an assigned DBE 1.5% Goal.

An online Pre-Submittal meeting is scheduled for January 9, 2024 @ 10:30AM.Additional details available on Bonfire.

Electronic Submittals must be uploaded to Bonfireby February 6, 2024 @ 4PM.

Consultants must register with a free account at Bonfire, SDOT’s Procurement Portal ( https://cityofseattle.bonfirehub.com/ ), to access Solicitation documents, including the RFQ packet, Evaluation Criteria, additional Submittal Information, to ask questions, and receive Addenda.
